Zinc Phosphating

 

Zinc Phosphate provides a crystalline conversion coating that is applied to components manufactured from a Mild Steel substrate.

 

The Zinc Phosphate coating acts as a binder for lubricants and rust preventative waxes and oils. Zinc Phosphates are able to hold these top coat layers of oil etc. in extreme and hostile environments. When these additional coatings are applied over the phosphate layer, good levels of corrosion protection and low friction surfaces are achieved.
