Manganese Phosphate Coating

Manganese Phosphate provides a crystalline absorptive coating, with excellent wear resistance that is applied to components manufactured from a Mild Steel or Cast Iron substrates.

The Manganese Phosphate surface acts as a binder for lubricants and rust preventative waxes, oils, dry film lubricants and fluoropolymer coatings. Providing a surface that holds greater quantities of these top coats than Zinc Phosphates, it also offers load bearing properties making it ideal for bearing and sliding applications.

When these additional coatings are applied over the phosphate layer, good levels of corrosion protection and low friction surfaces are achieved.
