ZINC ALLOY PLATING
Zinc Alloy Plating is similar to zinc plating using an alloying
material to produces a sacrificial coating on steel substrates
with enhanced corrosion protection over traditional zinc plating.
Zinc alloy plating offered is available as:-
Zinc Nickel Plating
Zinc Nickel is applied from alkaline electrolyte and
can be applied to Rack or Barrel plated components.
The Nickel in the deposit is >11% but even at level increases
the corrosion performance over conventional zinc.
The alkaline electrolyte can be applied over steel, and surface
hardened steels.
The colour passivate on to alloy plated parts is of a different
appearance to a conventional zinc colour passivate finish. In
general it appears with very strong green red and blue colours.
The benefit of this appearance is to give a large performance
increase in the Neutral Salt Spray to white corrosion usually
in excess of 1000 Hrs NSS.
The above is available with Chrome VI free passivates.
